The United Nations' (UN) International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
is an occasion for governments, international organizations and
non-governmental organizations to raise public awareness of violence
against women. It has been observed on November 25 each year since 2000.In our high school we also want to raise public awareness of this day. A special event has been held in the Conference Room, where several students have read some texts about this issue.
By developing the Project of Education for Gender Equality, led by our colleague María Soria Montañez, we are trying to promote gender equality in our school.
We would like our students to understand
the damaging effects of living up to stereotypes and how they can lead
to abuse and violence against others.
Here we can find a selection of works done by the 2nd ESO students in the Art class.
